Como evitar plagiarismo em seus textos

Uma coisa é ter um modelo de referência para fazer o seu trabalho, fazendo a devida citação de livro ou outra fonte. Outra coisa é se apropriar da ideia de outros, mesmo sem essa intenção, e repassar como se fossem suas, só porque você concorda com elas.

Seja em um TCC ou outro trabalho acadêmico ou científico, colocar a referência de livro e outros exemplos de fontes é obrigatório. Isso porque, via de regra, os trabalhos seguem as referências bibliográficas nas normas da ABNT 

De forma resumida, essas regras definem como você deve referenciar um livro, com todos os dados organizados. Alguns exemplos de dados solicitados na referenciação são o nome do autor ou dos autores, o título do trabalho, ano em que foi publicado, em que meio, se há endereço eletrônico e muitos outros detalhes.

O que é plagiarismo

Plagiarismo é o ato de copiar conteúdo intelectual, seja ele escrito, tocado, pintado ou quaisquer outras formas de manifestação de saberes, sem dar o devido crédito, ou seja, sem citar a fonte. É se apropriar indevidamente de ideias, cores, ritmos, sons e outras expressões já criadas, que não lhe pertencem, incluindo em suas próprias criações como se fossem suas.

Na indústria da música é bem comum ver casos de plágio, com direito a processos milionários e tudo. Para você ter uma ideia, esses processos envolvem estrelas como os Beatles, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, Roberto Carlos, Radiohead, Oasis e muitas outras.

Infelizmente, o problema não se concentra somente no âmbito musical, sendo encontrados plágios diversos, nas mais variadas fontes. Um dos casos mais clássicos e seu uso em trabalhos acadêmicos e científicos, podendo inclusive inviabilizar os mesmos, se percebido o plágio.

Consequências de não citar fontes bibliográficas

Se você deixa de citar de onde tirou um trecho do seu trabalho, é plágio e isso pode trazer consequências negativas para sua jornada:

  •       Montar seus argumentos com base em ideias de outras pessoas
  •       Escrever sua tese, monografia ou artigo científico e perder toda a pontuação por plágio
  •       Responder processo por falsidade ideológica e pegar entre três meses e um ano de prisão
  •       Perder a credibilidade na sua instituição de ensino ou pesquisa

Como fazer referência bibliográfica

Para escrever um artigo acadêmico adequado , você deve fazer a devida referenciação, independente da origem da fonte. Por exemplo, muitos acreditam que a internet é terra de ninguém e acabam deixando de dar crédito a quem produz material, seja ele escrito, de áudio ou visual.

Depois, acabam lidando com o problema das contestações e queda de visualização do conteúdo – afinal, o Google condena quem pratica o plagiarismo, com uma redução significativa do alcance da página. O mesmo acontece nas redes sociais, como o Instagram, Facebook e tantas outras.

Por isso, é importante saber como fazer a referência de fato, lembrando que cada tipo de fonte requer um processo único. Por exemplo, um livro terá informações como o autor, título, ano em que foi escrito, editora, edição, número de páginas e talvez outros detalhes.

Já uma página da internet, é muito mais simples de se referenciar, utilizado o nome do autor do artigo ou, na falta desse, o nome do site em si, em seguida o título da matéria, data de acesso e o link para que todos possam ler o mesmo material, estimulando assim a propagação do conhecimento.

Por outro lado, um trabalho científico pode seguir a recomendação acima, se estiver na internet, ou o padrão para citação de documentos científicos, que é muito mais completo, com diversos itens diferentes. Mas não se preocupe, pode usar o guia da sua instituição de ensino para fazer o seu ou seguir as regras da ABNT.

O importante é que faça sempre a devida referência à fonte de onde a informação foi coletada, evitando o plágio e reforçando o conceito inicial e base para o desenvolvimento da sociedade – senso de coletividade e relacionamento de rede.
